Preschool Math Standards
Teaching young children the individual mathematical skills they will need to succeed in both school and life is critical to helping them make sense of the world around them and teaching them to reason and problem-solve effectively.
Algebraic Thinking
Your preschooler will recognize, sort and classify objects according to one or two attributes. They will be able to identify simple patterns and in turn will be able to fill in the blank to complete the pattern.

Level 2 Which Pet?
Level 2 Insect Patterns
Geometry and Spatial Sense
Your preschooler will correctly identify simple shapes. They will be able to match geometric shapes. They will understand certain positional words like: over, under, and above.
Level 1 Shapes Puzzle
Level 1 Playground Storybook
Numbers and Quantity
Your preschooler will be aware of numbers zero to five.Your preschooler will be able to correspond the number to its value.
Level 1 Number Memory
Level 1 Number Match
Measurement
Your preschooler will understand the concept of length and height. They will understand concepts such as: wide/narrow, large/small, taller/shorter and full/empty. Students will also become familiar with size words like: more/less.

Level 2 Insects by Size
Level 2 More or Less

The standards-based preschool curriculum used in these demo lessons focuses on the key components that comprise critical math lessons at the preschool level, including algebraic thinking, geometry & spatial sense, numbers & quantity and measurement. These repeated opportunities to practice and enhance their beginning abilities promote mathematical thinking at an early age and builds a solid math foundation that ultimately motivates children to excel in math and beyond.
